August 1992 - Heathcote Road to Fairford Road
With an initial $1.50 toll, a toll plaza was located to the immediate west of the Georges River. This section also included the duplication of the existing ‘freeway’ between the Hume Highway and Heathcote Road, except for the Liverpool Bridge which remained three lanes wide. A diamond interchange (except for an eastbound offramp) was completed at Heathcote Road), and west-facing half diamonds at Henry Lawson Drive and The River Road.
